Coniston car park

There is another car park near this spot just before reaching . . .

Tarn Hows . . .

which was constructed in Victorian times . . .

by the landowner . . .

from three small pools

Time for a break . . .

before heading through woodland . . .

where strong winds . . .

have damaged many of the trees . . .

and made our route an obstacle course

From Black Fell (Black Crag) . . .

there are good views . . .

over Coniston Water . . .

and the photographer captures the photographer

From the left, Pike O'Stickle, Harrison Stickle and Pavey Ark

Helvellyn massif

Wetherlam

and more . . .

uprooted trees
