| Comments: | This was a recce for a future group walk. We were looking for a good route up Seat Sandal before going on to Fairfield. We tried to follow the path by the stream in Little Tongue Gill but turned off the main path too soon and encountered a very difficult stretch. We then followed the wall around to contour back along the side of Seat Sandal. Part way along this path we decided to turn back and try the pathless route we had done once before, up the side of Seat Sandal from Hause Riggs. This was very steep and not suitable for the group. When we got to Grisedale Hause we decided to call it a day and leave Fairfield for another day. | ||
