On my own

Comments: Having completed this walk in snow (10th January), I wanted to see what it was like without the snow. As it turned out parts of the route were very muddy. I changed the route in a couple of places: previously we had taken a wrong turning just before Whitehall Farm; to try out a different path past Ryal Fold.

On the earlier walk the seat wasn't visible at this point as it was covered with snow . . .

and here there was a large hay bale for the sheep

Zooming in on a helicopter . . .

which brought its load . . .

to the path that I was walking along . . .

guided into position by a nearby workman . . .

and his colleague

Each load turned out to be one pile of hardcore

A stone carving in Sunnyhurst Wood . . .

where I also spotted a squirrel
