Walk: Orton, Stone Circle, Great Asby Scar, Orton Scar
Start Point: Orton village Grid Ref: NY 622 083
Distance: 13.2 miles Ascent: 1,100 feet
Weather: Sunny and mild Time: 6 hours
Comments: After heading out from Orton to the Stone Circle we made our way over easy field paths and tracks to reach Great Asby Scar. Walking on the limestone pavement ensured that we kept our eyes down to walk on the clints - and not end up in the grikes! Passing Robin Hood's Grave - an unlikely place but it is marked on the map, more good paths took us to Orton Scar and back to the cars.
