Walk: Tockholes Plantations, Roddlesworth Reservoir, Sunnyhurst Wood, Jubilee Tower, Darwen Moor
Start Point: Slipper Lowe car park Grid Ref: SD 666 191
Distance: 7 miles Ascent: 1,100 feet
Weather: Dry and mild initially but cold on the
moors
Time: 2.5 hours
Comments: It was good to see that we no longer need to pay for the car park. The autumn colours are becoming more evident but we needed some sun to highlight them. Walking was quite pleasant and jackets weren't needed until we reached Jubilee Tower. Now being more exposed the wind lowered the temperature and we were keen to keep moving.
