Walk: Solomon's Temple, Roddlesworth Reservoir, Pimms, Great Hill
Start Point: White Coppice Grid Ref: SD 619 190
Distance: 8.8 miles Ascent: 1,700 feet
Weather: Sunny with a cold wind Time: 3.75 hours
Comments: With a fine day forecast it was time to get out for a walk and a familiar route was just the job. It was a pleasant day with frequent sunny spells but the wind was pretty cold in exposed areas. The ground wasn't too bad considering the rain and snow melt of a week or two ago - apart from when I went slightly wrong and found a boggy section!

Snow is still evident on the flanks of Winter Hill

It's just over a mile from Winter Hill on the left to Rivington Pike on the right

Great Hill - it's all downhill from here!
