Walk: New York, Sabden Fold, Fell Wood, Ogden Clough, Big End, Scout Cairn, Badger Wells Hill, Clitheroe Road
Start Point: Lay-by on Clitheroe Road Grid Ref: SD 775 380
Distance: 10.5 miles Ascent: 2,250 feet
Weather: Sunny but very cold wind Time: 4.5 hours
Comments: Yesterday was the coldest March day for a number of years and there had been some short sharp heavy downfalls of snow at home but there was a distinct lack of snow in the Sabden Valley and just a covering on Pendle Hill. However, today's walk was marked by the best views I have ever had from Pendle Hill. There was a cold wind but it was sunny all day and the views extended for miles in all directions.
