|Start Point:||Plain Quarry car park||Grid Reference:||SD 552 761|
|Distance:||8.8 miles||Ascent:||1,590 feet|
|Weather:||Dry and sunny but very muddy in the woodland|
|Comments:||A pleasant walk over pastureland and through limestone pavement. Some interesting rock formations, particularly on Holme Park Fell where there is a large area containing erratics. However, the last section of the walk was tedious, through woodland with very muddy sections. This would have to be changed if I were to repeat the walk.|
