Walk: Great Hill, Spitlers Edge, Winter Hill, Two Lads Cairns, Rivington Pike, Yarrow Reservoir, Anglezarke Reservoir, Stronstrey Bank
Start Point: White Coppice Grid Reference: SD 619 190
Distance: 13 miles Ascent: 2,530 feet
Time: 5.75 hours
Weather: Sunny to start, a bitterly cold head wind on the high sections and intermittent light rain towards the end.
Comments: Taking advantage of a reasonable forecast I headed up to Great Hill and along the millstone slab paved stretch of Spitlers Edge. As the paved section finished there was evidence of path upgrading to be carried out. The headwind on Winter Hill was bitterly cold but for the rest of the walk the weather was quite mild.

Looks like the path is going to be improved . . .

which block the existing path

Another section is going to be flagged . . .

and it looks like work has started . . .

but with just one man and his machine . . .

it is going to take a long time!

Looking back - what a mess!!

But it was more of a mess around the stile!
