Walk: Greenburn, Wet Side Edge, Little Carrs, Great Carrs, Swirl How, Levers Hawse, Levers Water, Coppermine Valley, Yewdale
Start Point: Tilberthwaite Grid Reference: NY 306 010
Distance: 10.5 miles Ascent: 3,600 feet
Time: 6.5 hours
Weather: Intermittent drizzle followed by constant rain
Comments: Joining the group for this walk, it turned out to be the wettest they, or I, had done for some time, giving the waterproofs a thorough testing. Fortunately it was quite mild so we didn't suffer too much! Most of the climbing was done in the first half of the walk with no particularly steep sections.

Descending the slopes of Birk Fell . . .

we have good views up the Greenburn Valley . . .

and its waterfall

The group crosses Greenburn Beck . . .

where the water . . .

is qute well below the bridge

A brief pause on High End . . .

before continuing on . . .

to Great Carrs . . .

and Swirl How

Our descent took us down Gill Cove . . .

where Levers Water appeared in the mist - but rain prevented any more photos
