Walk: Lane Head, Pendle Hill, Barley, Lower Black Moss Reservoir, Twiston Moor, Twiston, Torrid Bank Wood, Woody Hill
Start Point: Downham Grid Reference: SD 784 440
Distance: 10 miles Ascent: 2,070 feet
Time: 4.75 hours
Weather: Dry and mild
Comments: Walking from Downham I followed a route previously walked, with a short variation towards the end. A pleasant day when the ground was quite dry after all the earlier rainy weather.

Leaving Downham . . .

and past some young lambs

Squeeze of kiss?

Pendle Hill (Big End)

An attractive garden en route to Barley

Looking over Lower Black Moss Reservoir to Pendle Hill . . .

and across to Fell Wood

More sheep show off . . .

their new born lambs

Two trees attract my attention

Spring is really here!
