Walk: Laithbutts Lane, Newby, Slatenber, Fell Lane (A Pennine Journey), Ingleborough summit, Little Ingleborough, Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail
Start Point: Clapham car park Grid Reference: SD 746 692
Distance: 11 miles Ascent: 2,336 feet
Time: 6 hours
Weather: Overcast and a cold, strong wind. Misty on the summit.
Comments: The route from Newby to Cold Cotes required careful navigation and the last part was comnpletely covered by nettles (ouch)! The strong head wind made the ascent more difficult and we were rewarded by a misty summit plateau. The route to join the descent to Little Ingleborough is more clearly marked than it used to be but the descent from Little Ingleborough was rather tricky in the strong wind.
