Lake Bohinj & Stara Fužina

Tuesday, 10th July 2012

This being a free day I decided to spend some time on the lake. I hired a kayak and spent a couple of hours travelling around and across the lake. By the time I got back to shore I was rather hot and also wet from water dripping off the paddles. A short walk took me back to the hotel where I ate a picnic lunch and spent some time reading a book in the shade of the trees. After a while I decided to walk to Stara Fužina, the hamlet we had walked through on the first day. By the time I got there the sky had darkened and we were in for a storm - heavy rain, thunder and lightning. Fortunately I was able to take shelter until the storm had passed then enjoy a leisurely stroll back to the hotel.
