Comments: | Having abandoned our original plans to climb Helvellyn, because of low mist, we decided to do a short walk to Stone Arthur and then spend some time in Ambleside. After walking up to the footbridge over Tongue Gill, we took a path South to South-West across Brackenwife Knotts and on to Stone Arthur. We then descended by the main route, emerging onto the A591. |
