| Comments: | With all the rain of previous days we were expecting quite a lot of boggy ground - and we weren't disappointed! However, it was possible to navigate all the boggy areas and certainly tested out the boots. Following previous experiences a wide berth was made of the Pewits while keeping an eye out for the tell-tale sphagnum moss. Reaching High Seat the worst of the boggy area had been traversed and we were able to enjoy a well-earned coffee stop. Bleaberry Fell seems to have lost its cairn next to the shelter - both are shown in photographs on other websites! Walla Crag saw a change in the weather and it remained sunny for the rest of the day. The sting in the tail was the climb up to Raven Crag after dropping down almost to the Dale Bottom - a climb of just over 1,00 feet. However, the group seemed to agree that the effort was worth it - the views from the top were magnificent. | ||
