Walk: Hollinshead Hall (Ruin), Witton Weavers Way, Darwen Tower, Stepback Brook
Start Point: Slipper Lowe car park Grid Ref: SD 664 202
Distance: 10 miles Ascent: 1,200 feet
Weather: Mist clearing to sun Time: 3.5 hours
Comments: A familiar route with quite a lot of walking on tracks - ideal for wet weather, but there are some muddy sections on the narrower paths. This was the first time I had approached Jubilee Tower on the Witton Weavers Way track and is possibly one of the best approaches. Returning across the moor I varied the route by dropping down to Stepback Brook before climbing the unnamed hill on the way back to the main route.
