| Walk: | Losterdale, Langden Intake, Trough Barn, River Brennand, Whitendale, Dunsop Head, Beatrix | ||
| Start Point: | Lay-by near Langden Brook | Grid Reference: | Lay-by near Langden Brook |
| Distance: | 10.6 mile | Ascent: | 2,660 feet |
| Time: | 5.75 hours | ||
| Weather: | Overcast but mild | ||
| Comments: | A pleasant walk crossing the fells to link three valleys. On the route to Dunsop Head the peat bog erosion is quite severe in places. After a visit to the trig point the route descends gradually most of the way back to the car. | ||

Langden Brook . . .

and again at Langden Intake

Lime Kiln

No snow here but a frozen pond

Brennand Fell . . .

with snow on distant fells

Brennad Fell to the left and Middle Knoll to the right - my route lies between the two

There is still a little snow around

Whitendale River . . .

beside Whitendale Farm . . .

seen again from the path . . .

to Dunsop Head . . .

which has an impressive signpost

A greylag goose . . .

has a lot to say for itself!

I think the trig point . . .

needs a coat of paint

Crossing the River Dunsop . . .

as it meanders into Dunsop Bridge
