Walk: Stonycroft Gill, Causey Pike, Scar Crags, High Moss, Stonycroft Gill
Start Point: Lay-by near Uzzicar Grid Reference: NY 238 213
Distance: 7 miles Ascent: 2,400 feet
Time: 4 hours
Weather: A little hazy with some low cloud
Comments: We chose the gradual ascent to begin with but the summit is reached by a good scramble - this time into mist which stayed with us until we had descended from Scar Crags where the path has been upgraded fairly recently. Turning right at the crossroads, rock steps and a steep gravelly path lead into the valley and back to the car.

Local life on te way up to . . .

Causey Pike . . .

where the mist has descended . . .

but this is what it looked like in June!

Moving on to Scar Crags . . .

we took the second cairn . . .

as the summit

Descending beside Stonycroft Beck . . .

the summit of Causey Pike . . .

is now clear

Stonycroft Gill
