Start Point: Clapham Riverside Grid Reference: SD 303 976
Distance: 11 miles Ascent: 1,713 feet
Time: 5.5 hours
Weather: Overcast, brightening in the afternoon
Comments: Difficult to follow the route from Newby to Little Ingleborough. Decided to navigate across to Gaping Gill from Cote Gill Head.

A fancy stone but only a couple of houses here

Gaping Gill . . .

one of the largest underground chambers in Britain . . .

and home to the country's largest unbroken waterfall . . .

though there's very little water today . . .

travelling along Fell Beck

Time to leave as other walkers arrive

From this point Little Ingleborough on the left looks higher than Ingleborough on the right

Long Scar

Little Ingleborough on the left stands at 639m while Ingleborough on the right stands at 723m

Leaving Noughton Scars at Beggar's Stile to head down Crummack
