| Comments: | Taking the footpath from Blackburn Road to Lower College Farm the first stile is tricky to cross and the thrid one is almost impossible, especially with a dog. The rest of the route was quite pleasant and the River Ribble provided a good spot for lunch. | ||

The Roman soldiers still stand guard near Elm House but the fort is long gone
