| Comments: | Some of this walk was on tarmac track but the sections through woodland were difficult to navigate and the footpaths were in a very poor state. However the section beside the River Ribble was delightful. It may be wise to reroute around Mercyfield Wood if repeating the walk. | ||

Looking across the Ribble Valley to Longridge Fell and the Chipping fells

Many years ago . . .

but it is now much bigger and more modern

Osbaldeston Hall is a Grade II listed building dating from about 1600

Looking east along the River Ribble . . .

then heading west past a few groups of ducks . . .

and a beach like area of stones

Continuing in a westerly direction . . .

we find the ideal spot for our lunch break . . .
