We caught the tram from Puerto de Sóller to Sóller. From here we followed a Pilgrim’s track which zig-zagged upwards for three miles. Turning off the main track we navigated an unclear path to Es Cornador. By this time the wind was very strong and cold, especially on the summit. After eating lunch in the lee of the wind we made our way down to join another zig-zag path. This brought us back to Sóller where some of us took advantage of a 'refreshment' stop before taking a taxi back to the hotel. (Cheaper than the tram for a group of 4 people) |

Leaving the tram in Sóller there was just time to take a photo of the Cathedral . . .

an impressive building with an unimpressive name . . .

and a passing tram . . .

before setting out on the walk

Anyone got any washing?

But the water doesn't look too fresh!

The Cornadors (horns), seen as we leave Biniaraix

Views back to Sóller

The cobbled Pilgrim's Way crosses the Barranc a number of times

Framing Sóller . . .

and seen again from higher up

Goats make the rocks look easy

From higher still we have views down to Puerto de Sóller . . .

but the summit of Coronado Gran is very windy and cold

The route makes its way through private land - have we got the right key?

Many zig-zags take us gently down the very steep mountainside

and past orange groves . . .

with more views down to the bay

A last view back up to the summit
