| Distance: | 8 miles | Ascent: | 2,300 feet |
| Weather: | Sunny and warm, windy on top | ||
| Accompanied by: |

||
| Comments: | An easy walk with some spectacular views of Haweswater, but the route down Gatescarth Pass is stony underfoot and can become a little tedious. However, we were treated to the spectacle of children on a ghyll scrambling trip at Cleft Ghyll. | ||
