Walk: Great House Barn, Pigeon Tower, Rivington Pike, Pike Cottage, Great House Barn
Start Point: Great House Barn Grid Ref: SD 628 138
Distance:  5 miles Ascent:  750 feet
Weather: A dry but dull day
Accompanied by:

Joseph & Bethany

Comments: First walk for Joseph and Beth with all their new gear bought at Christmas. They found the climb up to the pigeon tower tiring but were more lively after we had stopped for lunch. A pleasant walk but rather muddy underfoot when not on tracks.

All geared up and ready to go

Climbing the wall - time to adjust the boots

A robin at the pigeon tower . . .

where we stopped for lunch . . .

did he want some too?

Feeling cold after our lunch stop . . .

but the climb soon warmed us up again

Heading back to the car - just have to climb all those steps first!
