Walk: Cartmel, Over Ridge, Bigland Barrow (OF), Bigland Tarn, Cumbria Coastal Way, Cistercian Way, Cartmel
Start Point: Cartmel racecourse Grid Ref: SD 377 787
Distance:  10.5 miles Ascent:  1,400 feet
Weather: Quite clear views, mild with sunny spells
Accompanied by:

Marie, John D, Phil, John L, Ray, Mandy, Debbie, Sheila, Martin, Joyce, lead by me

Comments: Parked at the racecourse (now £2) as the area by the priory was full. Some of the paths were muddy but no worse than the last time we did the walk. There was hardly any wind and when the sun was out it was quite warm. The stops at Bigland Barrow and near Striber's allotment were well-timed and ideal places to sit. The walk took just 5 hours so we had an early journey home.
