Walk: Darwen Moor, Jubilee Tower, Sunnyhurst Wood, Roddlesworth Reservoir, Tockholes Plantation
Start Point: Slipper Lowe car park Grid Ref: SD 664 202
Distance: 7 miles Ascent: 1,280 feet
Weather: Sunny with a cold wind Time: 2.75 hours
Comments: A short walk taking in Jubilee Tower, Sunnyhurst Wood and Roddlesworth Reservoir. A sunny day was forecast and while it wasn't as bad as previous days, there was still a cold blustery wind at Jubilee Tower. After walking through the woods I was surprised to find snowdrifts blocking the track en route to Tockholes Plantation. However these were easily overcome and a simple walk through Tockholes Plantations soon brought me back to the car.

The snow drift is no problem at first . . .

but as I proceed along the track . . .

it becomes more extensive

Not one boat . . .

but a total of four on Roddlesworth Reservoir
