Walk: Fairy Glen, Appley Bridge East Quarry, Ashurst Beacon, Blackbird's Farm, Canal. Parbold Bottle, Sparrow Hill
Start Point: Lay-by on A5209 near Fairy Glen Grid Ref:  518 109
Distance: 9 miles Ascent: 1,560 feet
Weather: Sunny Time: 4.5 hours
Comments: Another walk through Fairy Glen to Ashurst Beacon gave lots of opportunity for photographs on a crisp sunny day. However, due to all the recent rain many of the paths were muddy and needed lots of care to prevent slipping. A slight detour was made to Parbold Bottle from where much of the countryside walked could be seen. An enjoyable walk that needed careful navigation in places.
