Walk: Dalton Crags, Hutton Roof Crags, Uberash Plain, Newbiggin Crags, Farleton Knott, Holmepark Fell, Pickles Wood, Storth Wood
Start Point: Plain Quarry car park Grid Reference: SD 552 761
Distance: 8.8 miles Ascent: 1,590 feet
Time: 4.25 hours
Weather: Dry and sunny but very muddy in the woodland
Comments: A pleasant walk over pastureland and through limestone pavement. Some interesting rock formations, particularly on Holme Park Fell where there is a large area containing erratics. However, the last section of the walk was tedious, through woodland with very muddy sections. This would have to be changed if I were to repeat the walk.

The path makes its way through limestone pavement and outcrops . . .

and there are clear views to the coast on the ascent to . . .

Hutton Roof Crags trig point

Ingleborough can just be made out to the right of the cairn on Farleton Knott

On Holmepark Fell there are sections of extensive limestone pavement . . .

interesting rock formations . . .

and even a table - but no chairs!
