| Weather: | Dry and sunny but very muddy in the woodland | ||
| Comments: | A pleasant walk over pastureland and through limestone pavement. Some interesting rock formations, particularly on Holme Park Fell where there is a large area containing erratics. However, the last section of the walk was tedious, through woodland with very muddy sections. This would have to be changed if I were to repeat the walk. | ||
The path makes its way through limestone pavement and outcrops . . .
and there are clear views to the coast on the ascent to . . .

On Holmepark Fell there are sections of extensive limestone pavement . . .

and even a table - but no chairs!
