Walk: Stonyhurst College, Walker Fold, Longridge Fell, Spire Hill, Gannow FellGoodshaw House, Doe Hill
Start Point: Hurst Green Village car park Grid Reference: SD 684 382
Distance: 11 miles Ascent: 1,600 feet
Time: 5.5 hours
Weather: Sunny spells but a cold wind
Comments: After a couple of wet days in the previous week Sheila and I had some rather muddy sections to contend with on this familiar route around and over Longridge Fell. The intermittent sunny and cold wind necessitated frequent removal then replacement of gloves and hats - 'on again', 'off again'! There were excellent views and it was possible to make out the 'three peaks', Ingleborough, Pen-y-Ghent and Whernside.

and again with the ridge from Parlick to Totridge Fell in the distance

Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent can just be seen on the horizon . . .
