Walk: Lower Lane, Alston Reservoirs, The Greenwood, Ox Hey, Lower Cockhill, Lower College Farm
Start Point: Home
Distance: 5.2 miles Ascent: 235 feet
Time: 2 hours
Weather: A cool breeze but hot when the sun came out
Comments: Mainly on field footpaths with a little road walking. There are countless footpaths in this area and it's just a matter of which ones to follow each time I walk round here.

The footbridge can be difficult to find at this time of year - you just need to know where to look

The warning looks pretty serious . . .

but the stile is clear of any wires . . .

so perhaps it's to keep the horses in rather than us out

The nearby crop looks very healthy

The next double stile is rather dilapidated

The footpath hasn't been walked much since the grass has grown

The arrow points straight on . . .

but I've been here before and know the stile is behind the gate . . .

now very overgrown

The cows decide to follow me . . .

but I'm on the opposite side of the gate
