Comments: | Starting out at 8am I had the car park and most of the route all to myself. I was pleased to find that Haugh Wood was clear of the rubbish left after flooding a few years ago. |
The footpath through Marles Wood . . .
leads to the River Ribble . . .
and Dinckly Bridge . . .
which replaced the bridge damaged by storm Frank in 2015
Looking downstream from the bridge
The footpath through Haugh Wood is very pleasant . . .
now it has been cleared of all the detritus caused by flooding
The riverside footpath provides good views . . .
of the river and Ribchester Bridge
