Walk: Fielden Clough, Hodder Bank Fell, Giddy Bridge, Newton Bridge, Boarsden, Thorneyholme Hall, River Hodder
Start Point: Burholme Bridge Grid Reference: SD 657 479
Distance: 8.9 miles Ascent: 903 feet
Time: 4.5 hours
Weather: Sunny spells with a cool wind
Comments: Some sections of the walk were wet and boggy, perhaps due to the recent heavy rain. There were some pleasant sections to the walk but it isn't one that I will be repeating.

The River Hodder looking south from Burholme Bridge

and the stone posts guide the way across

Giddy Bridge

Newton Bridge takes the road . . .

past The Parkers Arms where the group often had Christmas Dinner

An industrial looking footpath crosses the River Hodder . . .

and was built in 1882

Langden Brook joins the River Hodder . . .

and we can just see Langden Bridge which takes traffic into Dunsop Bridge
