Walk: Alston Reservoirs, Ox Hey, Eatoughs, Ward Hall, Upper Dilworth Reservoir
Start Point: Home
Distance: 7.1 miles Ascent: 453 feet
Time: 2 hours, 35 minutes
Weather: Sunny after snow overnight
Comments: Much milder than expected after overnight snow whiuch quickly cleard fron roads and pavement. The local fields showed no sign of snow at all but distant views showed that it had covered higher ground. An enjoyable walk on an unexpectedly sunny day. A treat at the end of the walk was to watch a local deer having a spot of lunch.

No sign of snow as I cross local fields . . .

but it has clearly covered Pendle Hill . . .

and left a light covering near Longridge Fell

Snow covered banking at Upper Dilworth Reservoir . . .

but Parlick Pike . . .

and Beacon Fell only got a light covering

I've seen deer here early in the morning but not at midday . . .

but this one was enjoying a spot of lunch . . .

before a passing walker . . .

frightened it away

Pendle Hill can be seen again . . .

from Spade Mill Reservoirs

One goose is making a lot of noise . . .

to send the others away
