A duck approaches the weir on the River Calder . . .
and takes a good look . . .
at the flow of water . . .
but decides to move away
In September 2021 a fallen tree provided a good spot for lunch . . .
but it has now been moved . . .
higher up the slope, too high to sit on . . .
and a small branch provides a seat . . .
as it has been nailed . . .
to a nearby tree!!!
