Comments: | Despite a cancellation and two delays we managed to make the connections at Glasgow and Ardrossan Harbour. Fortunately we had booked seats between Preston and Glasgow as some people had to stand. After arriving at Dunvegan Guest House we explored Brodick and ate dinner at The 19th Hole, Brodick Golf Club. We found the guest house comfortable and convenient though we did have problems with the internet connection. |
Leaving Ardrossan and heading for the Isle of Arran
Our first view of Goat Fell . . .
which is the highest mountain on the island
Approaching the harbour . . .
the ferry turns to the docking station
A pleasant welcome . . .
and a model of the island . . .
with Goat Fell in the background
Looking across the bay . . .
and over the model
Our ferry . . .
will soon be on it's way back to Ardrossan
