Comments: | As we hadn't walked up Goat Fell on the first day we decided to miss out the last section of the Coastal Way and walk part of the route up Goat Fell. The taxi had to pick up our bags and take them to Brodick so we travelled with them and started the walk from Cladach. When the path became tedious we decided there was no point in going futher as the path at this stage was rather tedious. Heading back down we returned along road and path to Brodick and finished the walk at the start point. We then enjoyed lunch sitting on the beach and explored the large outdoor shop that we had investigated on our arrival. A good end to the walk. |
Time to climb!
A good place for our stop . . .
with the summit area in the background
and views down to Brodick harbour
Surprising to see such a large cairn
From the rocky path . . .
we can see that the actual summit . . .
which sits behind a subsiduary summit . . .
but we decide to head back down . . .
to see Holy Island just peaking up beyond the trees
And that's the Coastal Way done - with a couple of changes made to it
