| Comments: | Sections of this route have been walked many times but today they were combined to make a longer walk. The route was decided on as I went but, as will be seen from the photographs, one part was a very poor choice and will not be touched again until we've had a long spell of very dry, very hot weather!!! | ||
A short break at Mardale football field . . .
where the boggy approach to the stile should have given me warning

where a missing step makes it even more difficult
This is usually a clear concrete track but is now covered in mud . . .
probably caused by the state of the surrounding fields . . .
and even the last part of the track needs care, escpecially navigating it with Luna who obviously needed a good wash when we got home!!!!
